Judge Bacciarini grew up in Merced and graduated from Merced High School in 1976. He earned his bachelor’s degree in music from University of the Pacific. He worked 16 years as a high school music teacher and band instructor in Manteca, Merced and Clovis, before returning to school to study law.
In 1998 he graduated with a Juris Doctor from San Joaquin College of Law. Judge Bacciarini worked as an associate attorney for the law firm Morse, Morse & Morse from 1998 to 2000 and joined the Merced County District Attorney’s Office in 2000. He was promoted to Chief Deputy District Attorney in 2009. Judge Baccarini was appointed to the bench by Gov. Schwarzenegger in 2010.
